The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.

But this year, as across the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is taking advantage of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving profitable too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
