Bendel Insurance Suspends Coach Ikhenoba; Bazuaye Named Interim Coach

Bendel Insurance FC have suspended head coach Greg Ikhenoba following a disappointing start to the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The club has secured only one victory in their opening seven matches, with their most recent fixture resulting in a 1–0 home defeat to Nasarawa United.

Consequently, the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, approved Ikhenoba’s suspension, effective from Monday, October 6, 2025. In the interim, Coach Baldwin Bazuaye, MON, has been appointed to oversee the team's technical operations until further notice.

The appointment of Coach Baldwin Bazuaye as interim head of the technical crew introduces a fresh perspective that could invigorate the squad. Bazuaye's experience and leadership will be pivotal in steering the team back on course. It's imperative that the club's management, players, and supporters unite to support this transition, focusing on collective progress rather than individual setbacks.
